Our newest treatment option, bronchial thermoplasty, helps patients who suffer from severe asthma. This outpatient procedure helps adult patients who are still symptomatic despite the use of their daily medications and inhalers. Bronchial thermoplasty improves quality of life by reducing asthma attacks, emergency room visits or hospitalization for respiratory symptoms, and days lost from work, school or other activities due to asthma.
Our Surgery Department uses the advanced O-arm Intra-operative Imaging System. This complete multi-dimensional system brings imaging during surgery to a new level. It is a vital tool for our surgeons during both minimally invasive and traditional open spine surgical procedures. Improved imaging provided by the system makes it possible to perform complex and delicate spine procedures with even greater precision. Learn more about our Spine Care and Pain Management Services.
Our Wound Care Clinic, a Joint Commission Certified Center of Excellence for Wound Care, provides comprehensive wound management to patients suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds using the most advanced surgical and medical treatments available.
The LUNA laser system has become an invaluable tool that helps our physicians diagnose and treat slow-healing wounds. The devise allows physicians to view, in real time, blood flow in a wound area, thus enabling better-informed decisions regarding care options. A screen also faces the patient so that he or she can better understand the physician’s analysis of the wound and suggested treatment plan.
Another advanced technology being used throughout the hospital, is TRU-D SmartUVCTM, a 5-foot-5 disinfection robot that uses powerful ultraviolet light to kill harmful pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and fungi. TRU-D protects the integrity of our clinical environment and, ultimately, the level of care delivered to every patient who walks through the door. See a virtual demo. (YouTube)
