James “Jim” F. Dover, FACHE has more than 30 years of leadership experience in health care, the last 22 in Catholic health care working for a variety of Catholic health systems. Prior to taking the helm of the Santa Clara County market, which includes O’Connor Hospital in San Jose and Saint Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, he served as the CEO of St. Anthony North Hospital, a member of Centura Health, in Westminster, Colorado. In this leadership role, Dover led the 198-bed hospital to significant improvement in physician and employee satisfaction. Additionally, Dover served as the Interim Group President for the Centura Health North Denver Hospital Group where he successfully integrated strategic activities across the four Centura Health Hospitals in Denver.
Prior to St. Anthony North, Dover was the President and CEO of Lourdes Health Network, a member of Ascension Health, in Pasco, Washington. Among other accomplishments, he worked with national advocacy staff to overturn Medicare’s adverse disproportionate share ruling, resulting in more than $5 million refunded to Lourdes.
Dover holds a master’s degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in Bacteriology from the University of Idaho. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce.
